The federal government aims to award at least 5% of all federal contracting dollars yearly to women-owned small businesses. This means that from the over $600 billion the federal government allocates for contracts annually, 5% or approximately $30 billion is obligated for prime and subcontracts for women-owned small businesses (WOSB). WBE Certification is also included so you can compete for state-level contracts. What you need to know.
Before your company is awarded a Women’s Business Certification, the company must undergo a validation with an authorized third-party. This requires a video conference at your place of business, with the women / women owners. This is to avoid any woman owner impersonation controversy. Our specialist will assist you with coordinating and prepping for the site-visit prior to the engagement.
The third-party validator charges start at $350 and are based on revenue size.
The fees are separate from our services and paid directly to the third-party agency.
Your assigned specialist will support you though this endeavor, from start to finish. This includes documentation review and filings for submittal through clarifications to award.
